Adventure Stories with Barbie

Adventure stories and outdoor leadership with Barbie at Rylands School

Last week, as part of our partnership with The Barbie ® Dream Gap Project, Inspiring Girls UK visited girls at Rylands School in Nottingham for a day focused on adventure and leadership. The girls heard from two incredible adventurers:

Vicki Anstey, our UK Ambassador and world record-breaking adventurer, whose incredible feats include rowing across oceans, cycling across America and running across The Arctic.

Victoria Harper Harper, our UK Chair, Assistant Editor at
The Independent and secret yachtswoman, who shared her adventure crewing a yacht across the Atlantic.

After sharing tales of endless days at sea, and digging deep to achieve your goals, we headed outside for a scavenger hunt designed to build confidence, leadership skills and teamwork.

The girls reflected afterwards: "I learned that girls can achieve world records," and "I can be anything I want if I put my mind to it."

Thank you to all the amazing students, to Rylands School for hosting us, and to Barbie for making days like this possible. Together we're proving that girls can be anything they dream of!
